Welcome to My Butterfly Garden!
Hi!
Welcome to My Butterfly Garden!
My name is Gina, and attracting butterflies to my garden has always been one of my favorite pastimes . I love to watch all the different kinds of butterflies in my garden during the summer and early fall here in Western North Carolina. I can remember as a child, that I was fascinated by all of the butterflies in my mother’s flower garden.
I would stand and watch them, and I would also try to catch them in my hands, they seemed so magical! I learned that it would hurt the butterflies to touch them, so I had to settle for just watching. The memories of those butterflies has stayed with me to this day, every time I sit in my butterfly garden!
After I grew up and got my own place, I always tried to plant some Zinnias for the butterflies. That was one of the flowers that grew in my mother’s garden, so I knew that the butterflies loved it! It also helped that Zinnias are easy to grow, they will bloom just about anywhere! I have never seen them fail to bring the butterflies to my yard.
Over time, I have learned that butterflies are attracted to many different flowers, not just Zinnias. I also learned that some butterflies don’t even like flowers, they prefer fruit! The butterflies that visit my butterfly garden are all just as I remember them growing up. They still seem to bring their own kind of magic into my garden.
On this site, I will share all that I have learned from growing my butterfly gardens through the years. I hope that you will find my site useful and fun. Maybe you will learn something about butterflies that you did not know! Perhaps, it will even lead you to plant your own butterfly garden!
I have been watching and learning about butterflies all of my life. Over the years I have learned that there are many different ways to attract butterflies to the garden . I would love to share this information with you. I hope you will get as much pleasure in reading about my butterfly garden, as I do in watching all of the beautiful butterflies that visit my garden!

Gina you have a \"must-return-to site\". As an avid gardener of over 45 years, I applaud your exactness and beautiful detailing for your passion. It was my \"Nana\" who got me hooked when I was just 6 years old.
\"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder\". Congrats!
